Art pieces are often seen hanged on the wall. What if you took a whole new perspective and looked at it from above? What if you took a really close view and laid on it? I wanted to create these abstract art pieces that has the function of a rug. You’re allowed to touch it, lie on it, to dance on it if you wish or to take a nap.

Sobre karita asmala

I’m an interior architect student, living in Helsinki. I find it intriguing that everyday items could be pieces of art, such as paintings and sculptures. Art should not be restricted in galleries and museums, but be spread in homes. My mission is to create beautiful objects with a function.

Olen Helsingissä asuva sisustusarkkitehti opiskelija. Minua kiehtoo ajatus siitä, että arkipäiväiset esineet voisivat olla taidetta, kuten maalauksia tai veistoksia. Taiteen ei tulisi rajoittua gallerioihin tai museoihin, vaan yletyttävä koteihin. Missioni on tehdä kauniita esineitä, joilla on funktio.
