My Insiparation for the design is a feather, which I translate into a graphic. From that came the idea for a pattern, where I place rectangles underneath to enable different color variations. I`m a big fan of 50ties design, so I gave it a little 50ties touch, with crooked rectangles and the selection of the colors.

Die Inspiration für den Entwurf ist eine Feder, die ich grafisch umgesetzt habe. Daraus entstand die Idee eines Musters, das ich mit Rechtecken unterlegt habe um Farbvariationen möglich zu machen. Der Entwurf ist angelehnt an 50er Jahre Design, das ich sehr liebe.

I am a set dresser, working in the art department for movie and film industries in Cologne, always interested in Interior Design. I love to create rooms, my passions are textiles. I also run a little fashion label with my own designed fabrics. When I come up the CarpetVista challenge, I cannot stand having a try to design a carpet.

Ich arbeite seit vielen Jahren als Set Dresser in der Szenenbildabteilung für Film und Fernsehproduktionen in Köln. Ich liebe es Räume zu gestalten und mein Steckenpferd sind Textilien. Außerdem betreibe ich ein kleines Modelabel mit meinen selbst entworfenen Stoffen, die ich in meiner Siebdruckwerkstatt selbst bedrucke. Als ich über den CarpetVista Wettbewerb stolperte, konnte ich nicht widerstehen einen Teppich zu gestalten.
